I'm trying to help my mother-in-law login to the Eighth International Art Competition web site. She has a username but not a valid password. We requested the password and received an email with a URL in it. We copied the URL and pasted it into another browser. It then asks us for a new password. No matter what we put in we are told "Error: Your password is too easy to guess. Please try another password." and no other information is given. I tried a random password that was given me at work that had four numbers, a $, and three lower case numbers. I tried one with an uppercase letter, two numbers, four lower case letters and a # sign. Can this get passed on to the responsible group for this site https://apps.lds.org/sign-in/go/changeP ... yEmail.jsf

I just tried some more random passwords of A!s2D#f4, ASD123asd!, and h4A9k3pP to make sure it wasn't something easy to guess and still go the message "Error: Your password is too easy to guess. Please try another password."

This looks like an issue that was discovered last week, which is currently being investigated. It is most likely that the token of the new account was not updated during the email validation process. One quick fix which has worked for some is to click theRe-send E-mail Ownership Validation E-mail found on the can't sign in page on ldsaccount.lds.org. When this arrives go through the same step again of clicking on the link provided or copying and pasting it into a new web browser window.

In most cases doing this a second time works. If not – the engineers will have to do a manual fix on the back end to fix the account. Please let me know - I will need the user name of your account to fix (do not send your password). You can e-mail me directly at hutchinsbb@ldschuch.org.
