child membership number

#1

Post by grn99 »

I have a member who was given permission to bless a child after it had died. This was done and a membership number was created and has been on the fathers record for 20 years. Now as I print the record for his family, the child doesn't show up with the number, just the name. the member is bothered about this. Is it because the death date and the blessing date where out of sync or is there another reason?

You're going to have to talk to CHQ about that. That's an unusual situation.

However, I don't see a problem either way. I can't see how a membership number of lack thereof would have an eternal consequences. The more important thing would be the BIC flag or sealing status. Although, I don't know as you can see that from the parent's record. Perhaps the member can see that in FamilySearch.
