Foreign language dates on ordinance certificates
I just went to print an ordinance certificate for a newly ordained teacher, and noticed that the date was printing with a foreign language. Instead of December, it is displaying "décembre". I went to a couple of other people and viewed certificates and likewise it is showing the foreign language for the month. Is there a preference I can set somewhere? or is it just a glitch?

It's French. It's a glitch. If you clear your cache and history, the problem will probably go away.grahamf72 wrote:I just went to print an ordinance certificate for a newly ordained teacher, and noticed that the date was printing with a foreign language. Have tried clearing etc on ward computer and it still won't work. Managed to create certificate on my iPad, email it to myself, open my mail on the ward computer and printed it that way. A lot of mucking around.

Two options, then. Your stake computer specialist (Assistant Stake Clerk--Technology), or the Global Service Center.grahamf72 wrote:. . . it still won't work.

I have this issue with all the reports I print. It doesn't have French when I view the reports but when I create the pdf it has all the dates in French.

Same solution already mentioned. If you clear your cache and history, the problem will probably go away. If it does not, contact your stake computer specialist (Assistant Stake Clerk--Technology), or the Global Service Center.Wrog wrote:I have this issue with all the reports I print. Re: Foreign language dates on ordinance certificates
This happens when someone in charge of lcr uploads a buggy update. Several language fields have been corrupted (in my stake everything is printing in Portugese). Cache and history are rarely a cause here (my stake computers are all set to delete cache/history on browser exit). Usually the default login language is affected (the webpage itself will display in a different language). typing eng in the lang= field in the address bar usually fixes it. In this case, the webpages are fine, but the reports are generating with the wrong language in some of the fields. Certificates do print with the English logo, but Portugese text everywhere else (same goes for dates on other reports).
Hope that clarifies the issue. I've submitted a case to mlssupport (the contact for the clerk stuff), so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

This is probably another manifestation of the problem a Church employee said had to be fixed on their end.

Re: Foreign language dates on ordinance certificates
We confirmed it's working correctly in safari (if you have a Mac) or Explorer in Windows. So until it's fixed, suggest using either of those browsers (Chrome and firefox generate the PDF in portugese).
