lds tools username

This morning I changed my lds username on lds.org but when I try to get onto LDS tools on my phone or ipad it still has my old username and won't let me change it to my new one! How do I fix this? Do I just need to change is back to the old username?

This morning I changed my lds username on lds.org but when I try to get onto LDS tools on my phone or ipad it still has my old username and won't let me change it to my new one!

It may take a few hours (or even a day) for the back-end servers to get into sync, and then everything should be fine. The LDS Tools server needs to hear from the LDS Account server. Left hand, right hand. All in favor, etc.

After that, you will probably need to sync LDS Tools using the new username.

If all of that does not work, you may need to uninstall LDS Tools and install it again, but I would think that should not be needed.

Are you sure you're talking about LDS Tools, or do you mean Gospel Library? Gospel Library (iOS) has a bug (may at one time have been a "feature") where it doesn't let you change your username without an uninstall and reinstall.
