Lesson Schedules Discontinued at end of 2016

I just went to Lesson Schedules and saw a message that they are discontinuing the tool effective December 31??

Does anyone have insight into that? It's quite a helpful feature. I don't understand why they would get rid of it. I guess I can stop waiting for them to do the update for 2017.

I was dismayed by this message as well. Why is this being discontinued? We use this in my ward quite a lot.
