Member name showing up on LDS Tools but not the ward list

I have two members that are showing up in LDS tools but they are not in the Member List. On of the members is no longer in our ward so they shouldn't be in the Member list but they shouldn't be showing up in the LDS tools either. The other member is in our ward but not showing up in the Member List but they are in the LDS Tools. This member has an incorrect address but I have no way of updating it in LDS Tools. Can someone tell me what can be done with these two records?

What is your calling? Where are you looking for the "Member List"?

It's possible that both of these are "out of unit" additions. They may not show in some areas because they're not technically a member of the ward. Two common usages is for out-of-unit leaders (like a bishop in a singles ward), or children who switch wards due to join custody after a divorce.

Perhaps it's too obvious, but have you synced your LDS Tools recently? That can certainly account for a member being in LDS Tools but not LCR, if their records were recently moved out of the ward.

You also might want to check the Moved Out report on LCR. If you don't have the membership records in your ward but think they should be there, the Moved Out report will show if the records were (perhaps unexpectedly) moved out of your ward.

I am the ward membership clerk. My bishop uses LDS Tools a lot to look at the members list. When he told me about the two members I tried to look them up in LDS.org and when I couldn't see them there I tried LDS Tools. I saw the same names my bishop was seeing.

How am I supposed to check if they are "out of unit" if I can't see their records in LCR?

Yes, I did update LDS Tools before I looked for the two members in question. I looked in LCR's Moved Out Members list and they did not show up there.

Are you sorting by individual or by household in LDS Tools? Maybe their household name is different from their individual last name so they're not showing up where you'd expect?
