Online Donations in Canada
I am just wondering if there is a timeline for making online donations available on lds.org for members who are living in Canada?

I've not heard any schedule for other areas. But then the church rarely announces it ahead of time or publishes a time-line.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

The Online Donation System in the U.S. uses the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system and requires U.S. banks. If a similar system is being set up in Canada, it would need to be independent, require Canadian banks, and use a transfer system internal to the country.
I would not be surprised if there is work being done for a Canadian system but, as russellhltn says, we never really know if or when until it happens.
