I'm trying to delete an item on our Stake Calendar but it doesn't work. A note come up that says, "Data Service has failed contact support."

There's a few possibilities.
  • Taken at face value, a service has failed. You may have to wait until normal working hours, SLC time before it's discovered and fixed.
  • Sometimes the "front-end" software thinks you have the rights to do something, but the backend disagrees. Since this is a stake calendar event, you may want to find a default stake admin (Stake presidency and clerks) to do the deletion.
  • It could be the data for that particular event Is corrupt. This would be looked into when the other possibilities fail and would take time to fix. It would be best to have a stake clerk call in to CHQ during normal SLC working hours.
