Gospel Library for Macs

I would love for the Mac version of the Gospel Library app. I had an email like a few months ago that it was been consider but nothing more. I say it cuz I'm a spanish user & the notes feature does not work for spanish on the web site. Do does on the iOS app but nor the web. Sometimes I would love to just make my scripture study on the Mac.

What you might due as there is not currently a Mac version, is to use Bootcamp or other like programs to install Windows 10 on your Mac. (to use within MacOS (formerly OS X) ) The Windows 10 Gospel Library app does have the notes feature in it and can be used offline for most features if needed. Just one option as there is not a Mac version of Gospel Library. Hope that helps.

If you're going to emulate, it might be better to emulate Android or iOS. Both are more advanced when compared to the Windows version.

russellhltn I understand the basic concept of emulation, but not sure how 2 very touch screen centric mobile OS's works in practice on a non touch screen host OS like Mac. For my understanding, what makes the iOS and the Android mobile OS version more advanced than the Windows version at this point. I have an android tablet and a few Windows 10 devices, but not sure what one more advanced than the other. Thanks.

The iOS and Android versions are "old" and have more features. I don't use it much myself, so I can't say what's different. But it's safe to say at this point that Windows is still playing catchup while iOS and Android are moving ahead. I use Android emulators on a non-touch screen Windows laptop practically every day, and it works quite well. You just use your mouse to tap, and you can drag/fling just like on a real device. The multi-finger gestures are a bit trickier, but the emulators will use something like the Ctrl key to make those work; those take a little practice, but they're not hard.

I believe the Windows version is touch-centric as well, since it's designed mainly for mobile Windows devices.

The Windows version is a universal application with a UI designed to work well with both touch and traditional (KB+M) interaction.

I use the 3 versions of Windows Gospel Library on my Windows 10 mobile (touchscreen) smartphone and my non touch Windows 10 laptop.
The 3 versions are 1) Gospel Library (v2) 2) Gospel Library (v2) Beta (both built originally for Windows 8.x devices but still work just fine on Windows 10 based devices (touch and non touch)) The 3rd version is a new version still in development (built for all Windows 10 devices natively, dynamically adjusting for the particular form factor/device/computer that is being used)
