I have a question about one of the new quarterly report items. On the new quarterly report item #9 requests information on:
"Adults and youth who submitted ancestor names for temple ordinances"
I was wondering if this was information on number of Adults and youth who have ever submitted names for temple ordinances or those who have submitted names during the designated quarterly report month (in this case the month of March).
Also, I was wondering on whose responsibility it is to provide this information to the ward clerk. I was thinking the family history consultants but it might be the high priest group leader. Also wondering if there are any recommendations on how to obtain this data (for example, would they pass out a sign up sheet in church to designate if you have submitted ancestor names to the temple...or is this information available electronically).
Let me know if you have any information on this new indicator.
Thanks

You might wish to check out the New Quarterly Report for 2014 topic, which informs that clerks will not need to gather this information.nsmedley wrote:I have a question about one of the new quarterly report items.
Whether it will be cumulative or quarterly, I do not know. By personal guess is for the quarter, but it does not matter to the clerk in the gathering of the statistic.

Re: New Quarterly Report item - Submitted Ancestor Names
I don't know for certain but since this is the quarterly report, I assume it will be the number who submitted either during the quarter or during the last month. I'm not aware of any clarification on that.nsmedley wrote:I have a question about one of the new quarterly report items. On the new quarterly report item #9 requests information on:

The ward clerk doesn't have to gather this information at all. It will be provided automatically based on records from the Family Search computer systems.nsmedley wrote: Also, I was wondering on whose responsibility it is to provide this information to the ward clerk. Re: New Quarterly Report item - Submitted Ancestor Names
I'm sure it's NOT a cumulative number for all time. The reason I say that is there are additional columns for % in 1 year and % in 5 years. That seems like a very strong indication that the number in the earlier column is just for the quarter, and you look to the last two columns for longer time periods. I would think it is much more likely to be submissions throughout the quarter than just the last month; given that most people do submissions on an irregular basis, calculating this statistic for just a month would be too erratic.nsmedley wrote: "Adults and youth who submitted ancestor names for temple ordinances"

From the forum topic "New Quarterly Report for 2014" --
https://tech.lds.org/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 9&start=50a submission is definitely not counted when a name is reserved. To count as a submission, the person has to reserve a name and then do one of the following:
- Share the name with the temple
- Print a Family Ordinance Request (FOR)
- Print temple cards
