I have a couple that have been married and how do I record their marriage information before I send their records to their new ward?

Login to MLS on the clerk's PC, and make the change to the membership record.

Specifically select Membership > Ordinances > Record Civil Marriage from the MLS menu.

How does this info get reflected in family search? My wife and I were trying to add eachother as spouse but can't find eachother by name or ID

For privacy reasons, living people have to be created in your Family Tree manually – they don't show up in search and can't be linked in. So, you'll need to create a record for your wife and any parents or grandparents who are living.

Does that not result in duplication of people on family search? If I create my wife on my tree then there are 2 of her on FS and our families can't be joined til we die and add the dead spouse to the other ??

That is correct. See this Family Search Help Center article: Understanding Private Spaces

Sort of. Living people you add can only be seen by yourself. So no one sees a duplicate.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

With the new 3.3 beta of LCR, you can now record a civil marriage there too. Also excited about many other membership edits. Used it today to record a death.
