Financial Audits

Concerning the 2008 Mid year audit, from the Stake level when a ward / branch audit is being performed, is it necessary to use the canary colored forms provided by the Church? Is it appropriate to use the audit forms that can now be printed on each ward / branch PC?

The audit instructions talk about sending in the "original", but I imagine that is merely referring to original signatures. So I don't think the color of the paper matters. On the other hand, the Church always sends out original forms, so unless you make a mistake in pen on the original form, I'm not sure why you wouldn't use the colored forms.

However, from prior interaction with the Church Audit Committee, I know that they are very particular about not getting any extra pieces of paper. What you send in for each ward is parts 3 & 4, which are front and back on the same sheet of paper. So if you do choose to use a printed copy on white paper, make sure that you print both parts that must be sent in, front and back on a single sheet of paper.
