Envelopes

#1

Post by drepouille »

When I was stake clerk, we had both kinds of mailing envelopes -- with and without windows. Now that I am a ward clerk, my ward does not have any envelopes with windows. When I asked the bishopric, the tongue-in-cheek reply was that windows with windows cost more, which I doubt. How much does a box of windowed envelopes cost?

OK, it looks like both types of envelopes cost $65 per 1000. The big difference between the stake and the ward is that the stake mails most of the checks it prints, while the ward simply hands checks to members.

At the ward level I appreciated the windowed envelopes when I processed checks from fast offering funds that needed to be mailed. If I recall (it's been a few years), we kept a box of each kind on hand.
