Membership for a member of the branch disappears at times and reappears at other times.

Sometimes LDS.org and MLS get out of sync. Does he always appear in, for example, Leader and Clerk Resources, or in the LDS Tools app, but doesn't show up in MLS? Or, are you looking at the same tool (for example, Leader and Clerk Resources) both times and sometimes see him but sometimes don't?

You can check if his records are moving in and out of the ward by going to Leader and Clerk Resources > Reports > Members Moved Out. If his records didn't move, most likely it's a problem with LDS.org and MLS getting out of sync.

When he disappears he seems to disappear from all areas. I'm the HP group leader and I also home teach the person. When he disappears he's gone from the directory and all reports on home teaching. Also, he still appears on the branch president's account and on his own, but not on mine or my assistants.

I have removed the personal information from your last message. This is a public forum and that information was visible to everyone.

If he is not visible in LDS Tools to you but is visible to the bishop, the most likely cause is that he has set his privacy settings to be visible to leaders only.

His records have been in your ward for two months. Is it possible that the records were moved out and then back in?

OK, thanks. The branch is only 2 months old that's why it shows he moved in two months ago. I'll check with him and see if he has set his privacy settings. If he has, does that exclude me as his high priest group leader?

You should see him in Leader and Clerk Resources, regardless of the privacy settings. I believe you are affected by privacy settings in LDS Tools.

Yes, LDS Tools has not updated their policies to give ward council members the same membership viewing rights as Leader and Clerk Resources.

OK, that checks out. I can find him in Leader and Clerk resources in LDS.org so he must have privacy settings turned on.

Thanks!!!
