Our stake is conducting ward membership audits and we're hoping to do a thorough audit with both MLS and LCR platforms since we are functionally still using both systems. What is the difference between the errors found in the MLS Membership Validation Report and the errors found in the LCR "Other" section in Membership Audit? In looking at one ward we found that errors found in MVR were different from those found in Membership Audit "Other"; they each found different errors. We understand that a MVR error previously selected as "ignore" may not show up, but this does not effect what we're seeing.
Is there any guidance for Stake Membership Clerks for conducting both LCR and MLS audits other than the help dialogues in the individual audit sections?
Is the MVR found somewhere in LCR or is it found only in MLS?

I can't answer those questions. I just wanted to say that ward clerks may run a membership audit at any time, several times per year if they wish. They don't have to wait for the stake to prompt them to do it. And of course you don't have to complete the audit if you just want to use it as a validation tool.

When the membership audit was converted to LCR, the rule set was reviewed and updated. Some items that were checked in MLS no longer generate an exception in LCR and some LCR checks did not exist in MLS.
Use the LCR version.
