I have been serving as the Stake Executive Secretary for 21 years and so I have been involved throughout the LDS.Org calendar process. Currently our stake has been experiencing major problems with events being deleted that at one time were added. We believe it is because there are too many members that have the ability to make event changes because of their current callings tied to membership number.
A few Calendar changes ago the Stake Calendar was restricted to one or two administrators that were the only members allowed to make changes on the Stake Calendar. Is there anyway that this can still be done with the current Calendar?
Our Stake President has been so frustrated with important Stake Events disappearing and then when we find out that it is not on the Stake Calendar there are other events scheduled that won't allow us to reschedule the event.
He suggested that we go back to a printed calendar, (which has it's own set of problems)
Please let me know if this is a possibility.

Currently the following have default admin rights to the stake calendar:
- Stake Presidencies
- Stake Executive Secretaries and Assistants
- Stake Clerks and Assistant Clerks
- Stake Website Administrators
- Stake Building Specialists
None of this can be changed short of releasing these individuals.
This is in addition to admins that are added and of course, each individual calendar has editors as well. You'll have to compile a complete list.
If it was me, I'd start looking for a pattern. That might well lead you to the culprit. It's pretty hard to delete things by accident, so I have a suspicion there is a reason. It might be to "clear space" for something else.sstinson wrote:and then when we find out that it is not on the Stake Calendar there are other events scheduled that won't allow us to reschedule the event.
In addition to those holding the above callings, you might want to be on the lookout for someone sharing their login with their spouse. I've seen that happen, because "theirs shows more". Someone might also have set their computer to remember the password and unauthorized members might be using that to create problems.
