I am a Stake Executive Secretary and am being asked by the High Counsel Members what the changes in Home and Visiting Teaching record implies. The release notes did not come with any screen shots or more in depth description.
My understanding is there are these status now :
- Visited
- Not visited ( so contacted but not visited)
- Not contacted (registered but not contacted)
- Not registered
Am I correct ? Or is my understanding wrong.
For quaterly reports, my understading, is that, as before, only visited families are counted in the statistics. Am I right ?

I'm not sure of the naming, but I'd think the categories would be more like:
But at least for HT, the quarterly reports are strictly "visited".
- Visited
- Not visited
- Not reported (visit status unknown)
- Not assigned teachers
But at least for HT, the quarterly reports are strictly "visited".

Those are the categories for HT. The categories for VT are the same except "visited" is replaced by "contacted". There is no way for VT to record visited vs. contacted. It's just contacted.russellhltn wrote:I'm not sure of the naming, but I'd think the categories would be more like:I'm not sure if VT has any distinction between "visit" and "contact". I know they used to, but I'm not sure if they do anymore.

The same difference applies to the quarterly report. For HT you count visits. For VT you count contacts.

ok, that's more clear... the release note is confusing because, when you read it, you understand that both have both choices:
Added the ability in home and visiting teaching to record “Not Visited” or “Not Contacted.”

Indeed. They should have added 'respectively' on the end of that sentence.idefaye wrote:ok, that's more clear... the release note is confusing because, when you read it, you understand that both have both choices:Added the ability in home and visiting teaching to record “Not Visited” or “Not Contacted.”
