Serving Missionary problem

I use the photos from the Serving Missionaries list in the Directory for each ward to prepare a photo for our stake missionary photo board, but I have noticed lately that the photos do not appear for a month or more after the start of their mission. Also, when I do click on them to check their photo, if the photo isn't their, it takes me back to my own ward directory. Not sure if this is a problem with the missionary web site or the Directory.... Can anyone verify that this is happening in your ward or stake also?

I wonder if the photo isn't assigned until the missionary has completed their time at the MTC and goes to the field?

Not sure on that Samuel, could be. . In my previous stake, I had access to the missionary site and I could get photos as soon as their applications were submitted. In our new stake, only the stake president accesses the site, not even the stake clerk.

What do I do if the address the parents give me doesn't match the one shown in LDS.org?

I'd imagine the one shown in the directory comes from the mission. I don't know as there's anything you can do about it.

It's possible that what the parents have is the missionary's current residence, but the mission is providing a more central location that will survive transfers.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
