access is denied to my ward directory

Church Account is the primary user account (user name and password) for accessing online Church resources. Church Account was formerly known as LDS Account. The message I get back is that I am not a member. I can pay my tithing but access is denied when I try to sign into the ward directory.

You probably don't have your Membership number (MRN) associated with your LDS Account. Go to ldsaccount.lds.org and add it. If you have a temple recommend, or you've received a statement of donations from your ward, it should have your membership number. Otherwise, you'll need to ask your clerk for that.

If you have a MRN associated with your account, then your membership record is probably not in a ward. You need to talk to your clerk about that.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
