When to use "Other" as Head of Household?

Post by ExecutorIoh »

We've noticed in no apparent pattern that there are some individuals that are listed as "Other" in the Head of Household category in MLS. When would be an appropriate application of "Other" in that category? Thanks!

That's interesting. In the past, MLS has had three categories of household members: Head of house, Spouse and Other. I'm not sure why you would be seeing "Other" as the head of a household.

In the past, sometimes head of house was a non-member husband. But I don't think that's possible now. Maybe a hold over from when that particular household used to have a non-member HoH?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

You might see this in a case where the household consisted of several member children, but neither parent is a member.
