Hi - is it possible for the Stake Primary to load the schedule to all wards to "seed" them. Then release the schedules to the individual Ward administrators so they can make local adjustments?
Thanks in advance!

The Lesson Schedules program is run at the ward level. The stake does not have access, so is not able to prefill the ward schedules.rstallard wrote:Hi - is it possible for the Stake Primary to load the schedule to all wards to "seed" them. Some stakes send notes (email, etc.) to wards asking them to teach certain lessons on certain Sundays, Christmas or Easter, for example. But it is up to the ward to make the right entry on their lesson schedules.

I understand that, but it seems like a nice feature would be to "seed" the lesson schedule so each ward doesn't have to type it in individually. The ward would just have to slide lessons in or out based on the stake conference or other local lesson affecting events...

I think it would be. I know it has been requested. Until then, the ward admin has to do it once for his ward and all the organizations will pick it up from there. He has to do ward events, visits, and conferences, as well. That may be why it has been kept at that level.rstallard wrote:it seems like a nice feature

Re: Stake schedule versus ward schedule
I think the lesson schedule was hastily put together because the old system was being shutdown. As a result, there currently is no stake access to set a schedule. Nor any word on if and when it's coming.

Re: Stake schedule versus ward schedule
As I've looked at this issue and the comments about stakes wanting to provide a lesson schedule, it's sure seemed that it's the ward's business and not the stake's. The only place I've seen that the stake has some option is the 4th Sunday lessons for Priesthood and Relief Society. Other than that, from my reading of the handbook, it's not really the stake's place to be involved in lesson schedules. The decisions come from the bishopric and ward council discussions. I hope there is no update that gives the stake control over this.

In our stake, starting with the most recent General Conference, the stake doesn't even choose any 4th-Sunday lessons - it's all done in Ward Council now.

Re: Stake schedule versus ward schedule
Stakes have had the option in the past to delegate the 4th Sunday selection to the bishopric. Many have already been doing that. Our has, with only an occasional assignment from the stake presidency.
