Receiving site Browsers
Why are Firefox (version 39 only) or Safari the only browsers supported with the Vidiu solution? Has anyone tried something else?

The media player for the new broadcasting system uses Silverlight. Silverlight uses the NPAPI which is now disabled by default in Chrome. Older versions of IE should work though.

Well that's swift. So if I use my laptop (a normal occurrence), I have to roll Firefox back two versions to stream stake conference in a few weeks.

"by default" suggests there's a way to enable it - no?justincy wrote:Silverlight uses the NPAPI which is now disabled by default in Chrome.

Re: Receiving site Browsers
We just got our Vidiu and was wondering the same thing. I haven't yet, but was going to at least try the latest version of Firefox before trying to roll it back; browsers get updated more quickly than the Church's web pages! The later versions include lots of security fixes, so I don't want to roll back if I don't have to. Plus, I've heard there are some compatibility issues with Firefox 39 on Windows 10 that I'd rather not deal with.
