Quarterly Report transmission

#1

Post by Cybird-p40 »

I just completed my first Quarterly report and the MLS did not give me a send option. Now my Stake is saying they have yet to receive my report. How do I send this report ? Does it go out with the next transmission?
Just a bit confused.
Thanks

Each time you modify any of the information on the quarterly report, MLS sets a flag to indicate it needs to be sent. Then the next time anyone does a Send/Receive in MLS, the quarterly report will be sent along with any other new data (membership, finance, etc.).

So if you want to send it right away, you can do the Send/Receive yourself after you have saved your changes. If not, you are depending on someone else to do a transmission (almost certainly when the weekly donation batch is processed, perhaps earlier).

To add on to what Alan said, after you do a send/receive, the stake has to do one to get that information. Hopefully they know to do that. The stake may not be doing a regular send/receive, so if the clerk awaiting your report is counting on another clerk to do the send/receive, there could be a problem.

Thanks for the info. I thought doing a send/receive would take care of it. I told the stake clerk I sent it and I have not heard back from him so I assume he got it.
Thanks again.

There is a "Send Membership Data to Stake" function in MLS. You can find it under "File". Not sure if it would help or not.

The "Send Membership Data to Stake" function has absolutely no impact on the transmission of the Quarterly Report. It transmits some information about callings and maybe some other odds and ends (membership records are always transmitted, without any manual intervention) a bit sooner than would happen automatically. But in any case, this option also requires the ward to an actual Send/Receive before the information gets sent, just as is the case with the Quarterly Report.

The quarterly report now consist of two pages. The report will not transmit until the second page is completed. The second page relates to new convert information.
