When I try to down the August 2015 edition of The Ensign with Pres. Packer on the cover, I get the following: "Unable to download book: Aug 2015. Not found (404)(Exception from HRESULT 0x80190194."

This error is presented when the app is unable to download the book you've attempted to download. Indeed, a 404 error means that the item simply was not found. Typically, this happens when the content catalog provided by the content team lists an item in the catalog that is either not actually available or has a bad link.

There isn't anything we can do from the app end to fix this.

The Gospel Library group is aware of the problem and has indicated that it would be fixed as soon as possible.

I discovered the same thing with the Android version. Obviously on the content provider's end.

It is available now. :)

Glad to hear it. Hope the Android folks get it soon, as well. It is not yet available there.
