Multiple Relief Socities and Quorums

Why does my MLS and LCR show muliple relief societies and elders quorums? It's confusing to those leaders who enter HT & VT stats. We have a smaller ward and there's no elders in the second group. Any idea how to consolidate them and delete the additional groups? Thanks.

Select one of the Relief Society organizations. When you are viewing the organization, you will see an "Actions" menu. Click on that and choose "Combine with Relief Society."

The MLS interface allowed users to create additional organizations when needed, but the additional organization wasn't "in your face" as much as it is with LCR. If someone clicked the "Create Group" button in MLS, that would have created the additional organization and it has just been floating around waiting to annoy you.

I have just the opposite situation. I need to create an additional Elder's quorum and Relief Society group but have been all over LCR, lds.org and MLS but have not found anything indicating new ones can be created, yet some "posts" and questions talk about a 2nd one being used. I just can't find anything saying how to create them.
