Our Elders' Quorum has been tracking the home teaching visits of our missionaries. With the new on-line system we cannot create a home teaching companionship for the missionaries (we are limited to members of the ward). The temporary solution is to assign the members being taught by the missionaries to the Elders' Quorum President and track the information there.
Is there a better way to do this?

Not that I know.
You can assign the people to EQP, create a companionship without teachers (then the printing of assignment seems to be impossible) or just leave them unassigned and the visits will be counted in the Visits to unassigned households total.
The same issue is discussed here too:

You could try creating out-of-unit records for the missionaries. That may not be advised, but it might work.

No, it won't work. Details are in the other thread (including a statement from scgallafent that the developers were given a specific business rule that out of unit members should not be allowed to be assigned as home teachers).mevans wrote:You could try creating out-of-unit records for the missionaries.
