LCR ---> Applications ---> Send a Message

#1

Post by jfackerson »

...Wanted to announce to local ward leadership (Bishopric, HPG, EQ, RS) following MLS change.

Access is now available via Internet through LDS Account to HT / VT assignments and visit / contact fulfilment.

MLS is no long available to make such updates and record of visits / contacts.
MLS will only passively display and print updates made via Internet LDS Account.

All my outgoing messages were blocked. See below. NOTE: I've replaced actual e-mail address prefixes with "xxx". What are "domain owner policy restrictions" and why do they apply to "ldschurch.org"? (...More opposition to all good things?) :confused:

Do you have an AOL or Yahoo e-mail account? Perhaps you need to change to another e-mail provider to overcome the DMARC restrictions imposed by AOL or Yahoo.

Unfortunately, messages from (216.49.179.111)
on behalf of (aol.com) could not be delivered due to domain owner policy restrictions.
In simple terms, AOL has informed the world of mail servers that any email that claims to be "from" a AOL address that does NOT come from AOL itself is a forgery and should be discarded. Unfortunately, the send-a-message you used uses church servers to send a message that claims to be "from" your email account. It doesn't end well.

Your choice is to either use an email that doesn't have that restriction that AOL and Yahoo imposes, or to use a different method for sending the email.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.
