Do secretaries have to be re-called with a new presidency?

#1

Post by sasgrw »

I'm pretty sure they don't but I can't find in handbook 1 or 2 where it states that.

We have a new DQ and Beehive presidency but the secretary is staying the same. I'm thinking we don't have to release the secretary and re-call them. I know when a president is released, the counselors are released too, but not the secretary. Does anyone know the reference for this?

Look at Handbook 2, page 158. Last paragraph of section 19.5.

Direct link: Handbook 2: Section 19.5:
When a president, bishop, or high priests group leader is released, the counselors or assistants are released automatically. Others who hold positions in the organization, such as clerks, secretaries, and teachers, are not released automatically.

Thanks. I was looking around in the calling section and quickly scanned through the releasing section but missed it the first time. That's the reference I needed.
