Updating MLS through LDS Tools?

#1

Post by Betacord360 »

Hey y'all, I read somewhere that when a ward clerk edits a member's information on LDS Tools it edits it in the MLS...is that true, or was the information incorrect? That would be extremely convenient if it worked that way, but I'm just not sure.

I can't speak for any version of LDS Tools other than the Android version. The current release for Android does have the capability to edit contact information, telephone & email, as well as privacy settings. But that is it for now. Those edits propagate back to MLS.

I use an android device. So the edits I make on my android app, ARE reflected on MLS?

Yes. Of course, no changes are reflected immediately in MLS; after the changes have been made and saved on the Android device, there's probably a brief delay while the data is prepared for transmission to MLS, and then you have to do a Send/Receive in MLS. But the changes will be reflected in MLS.
