Cannot hide Meetinghouse Icons on Maps

#1

Post by kellymab »

While on the maps app on LDS.org, I cannot hide all the meetinghouses. Even when they are deselected on the layers list, they still all show up on my map. I have cleared my cookies on both Chrome (Version 40.0.2214.115 m) and Firefox (version 36.0.1) with no results. Our institute secretary also cannot hide all of the meetinghouses. As a YSA member trying to see a regional YSA wards map, I would like to hide the extra meetinghouses that we do not use. There are dozens of extra icons that are a visual distraction.

I have submitted this as feedback to the developers as well.

The yellow boundaries are the YSA Ward boundaries in my area. All meetinghouses (YSA and Family) are shown when the meetinghouses are deselected.

If you pop out the left panel and close the "Wards and Branches" section (or other sections that relate to meetinghouses), the meetinghouses will go away.

Thanks for the help. It's a little odd that they don't hide when unselect them in the layers list.

I had the same problem. And, I feel validated that someone else also feels the redundant meetinghouse layer is somewhat un-intuitive. :)
