Can't delete two events

[Moderator note: This post was split out from the topic 2.7.5 Released today, since it has nothing to do with that particular release.]

I have been trying to delete two similar events on the same day, for nearly a month now. I either get the eternal spinner, or a message to contact service lds.org (or something similar). I've tried all sorts of different combinations of changing details, locations etc.. There are no restrictions created on this particular calendar. Any ideas?

Not strictly true as the 2.7.5 release notes mentions problems deleting events, which is my issue. This release hasn't resolved that for me!
