Posting Files to LUWS

#1

Post by natrx-p40 »

Hello all,

At our General Priesthood Meeting last night, our Stake President shared a ppt presentation with various statistics. Several members asked for copies. We would like to post items like this on the stake website rather than email them out to each user.

What is the recommended way for providing resources like this on the Stake website?

thanks,

You can create a News and Information item with an attachment (the stake website administrator can do this if you don't have that role). Note, however, that attachments can currently only be .doc, .xls, and .pdf. But generally, the PDF format will work for a PowerPoint -- just print to a PDF printer and upload the PDF. Note also that News and Information items have the unfortunate limitation of only one attachment, so that may affect your strategy for how much information you put in a single PDF.

Brother Brown,

Thanks for the reply and solution. I'll give that a shot. We don't have too many items to post so i don't think we'll be limited initially.

That would be something we'd like to see as an update to the LUWS is a place to post resources like this so they can be in one spot. Just a thought..

Thanks again
Nate

And limited to 1MB of size. That's quite small. You'll probably have to strip the file down to raw information.
