web administrator?
I need access to birthdays in the online ward directory for the ward newsletter. The ward clerks can't seem to figure out how to designate me as the web administrator or something. I'm not in a presidency or have any other qualified calling.

I don't think there's any way to grant you access to the birthday list. They'll have to print one up and send it to you.
However, be aware that not everyone likes to have their birthday listed. There's a reason that information is restricted by default. Make sure that posting that is cleared with the Bishop.

Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

I think it would be better to simply list the names of those who will have a birthday in the coming month in a ward newsletter. That accomplishes the intent without giving specific information to the world.
