Scheduling of Building by Units not in Building

#1

Post by gbwilcox »

Unclear if this is a feature or a bug, but I have noticed individuals are able to reserve and schedule rooms in other buildings within the stake where in the previous calendar they could only schedule rooms in the building in which there unit met in.

I haven't been able to see any way to limit/restrict this?

Thanks

I'm not sure either, but it's been around since the start of building scheduling.

Actually it's pretty much always been possible to reserve rooms in other buildings. It isn't anything new. The stake can restrict which buildings an be scheduled but that setting applies to all users regardless of what building they meet in. There isn't any way of restricting which buildings a calendar editor can reserve.

Hmmm it seemed to work in my experience that only those units that met in the building could schedule that building of course Stake and building administrators/schedulers of course could schedule in multiple buildings.

I scheduled events in other buildings several times in 2013. We had a few private events where they needed a building on a date where our building was unavailable. Our stake was fine with doing that as long as we contacted the scheduler for the building to let them know and to arrange for keys.

I was a ward admin (ward clerk) but not a stake admin or building scheduler.
