Private Calendar

#1

Post by frownbam »

I have just been called as the Stake YW Secretary. I would like to create a shared private calendar for just the presidency where we can put all our meetings and events, visits, etc... Is this allowed? I played around with it and it appears that I would be able to do so. I just don't know if I need permission to do this.

You can create the calendar but it will have to be approved by a calendar admin (a member of the bishopric, a clerk, the executive secretary or the ward website administrator) before you can actually use it.

A private calendar for just "presidency-only activities" is fine, but I'd suggest any stake events or activities that involve the youth be placed on a public calendar for them to see. Note that your calendar doesn't have to be private, but it would cut down on any confusion since that's one less calendar for the general membership to worry about.

Since you're a Stake YW, it would be a stake calendar. That changes what eblood66's advice to that it would have to be approved by a Stake calendar admin (a member of the stake presidency, a stake clerk, the stake executive secretary or the stake website administrator.)
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

Oops! I should have noticed that. Thanks for the correction.
