About Cisco Firewall Administration for Conference by Stream

Hello,

In times of general conference during the months of April and October, Stake we broadcast all meetings of the general conference via satellite. The signal is always very good, great picture and sound. But we have two particularities.

1 The general meeting women, we transmit through recording (MPEG media file) that we downloaded from the church website, but sometimes is not available yet for download on page broadcast.LDS.org. With this we need to use the webcast through stream.
2 The general priesthood meeting on Sunday we repeated her early to men who did not attend on Saturday night live (due to time zone here in Brazil). And likewise, try to download the video file (MPEG) for us to use on Sunday mornings, when it is not available, we use the webcast also.

We were very worried at the moment to forward meeting women the priesthood or the web, streaming, when we have some changes in internet speed and the chapel that affect transmission.

So I thought I'd ask our expert secretary of technology to block access to the SID WIFI connections LDSAccess other phones and tablets to the general membership and leave only the MAC address of the notebook is transmitting to avoid bottlenecks in internet use by other members N . But the clerk told me that there's no way to manage the firewall at this level, and only staff support FM Group.

I wonder how we should precede in cases like this, since we have no contact with the staff of FM Group over the weekend when events like these occur.

The specialist secretary of technology can not manage this firewall via a web interface? This would greatly facilitate the transmission of life in days like these and the general planning of the stake presidency.

Well, who can give us more guidance on the subject or discuss here in this thread, I am very grateful for the contribution.

That is correct. Only the Global Service can manage the firewall. FM has no control.

I'd suggest you connect the laptop to a jack and unplug all the WiFi Access Points.

Hello,

The specialist Stake Technology reported that it is now possible to start and stop the broadcast of the WIFI service, but it looks like he (expert technology) has no privilege with his LDS account. We are in doubt only the FM Group staff have access to this or if he as a specialist can take care of these settings.

Your stake clerk (or district clerk) must ensure your Stake Technology Specialist has a standard calling, and not a custom calling.

In addition to the Stake Technology Specialist, there are others who have access to this feature in TM. See Disabling Wireless Access.

In addition, you may have to have a current firewall (881/891) and be running the current software. A quick check is to go into TM and see if your pool of IPs is at least 900. If it's lower than that, you probably don't have the current software.

I'm as STS and I see those settings. (My "admin" title has zero meaning outside of the forums.)
