ETA for LCR 2.8?

#1

Post by fletch74 »

Ahh, acronyms within the body of the Church . . .

I hope this is the right forum and my apologies if I'm mistaken.

1) When is LCR 2.8 expected to go live (be released)?

2) Is there a general schedule of when multiple, specific upcoming LCR versions will be released? I.e., more granular than "Late Fall 2014" - e.g., a) Mon, Oct 13, b) week of Mon, Oct 20, or c) late October.

Thanks.

Lately they have been giving time tables for SOME updates, but it's usually expressed in quarters, not months. I don't know of any general schedule. And even if there is one, it's subject to delay.

Thank you, sir.

I definitely expect delays. On the other hand, I very much appreciate having as specific a timeline as is sensible/feasible. (I feel geeky :-) and somewhat frustrated when I occasionally check the release notes, wondering when I'll see an announced release.)

As a note, most of what is coming out right now was 'planned' for 2 to 3 years ago, so dates and times are always subject to interesting things that come up in the mean time. Also, remember that any number of languages are required when it goes live, there are MANY things, not related to IT or any IT Services that impact dates.

Wow. 2-3 years. Maybe ignorance is bliss. :-)

Thanks for the input.
