New assistant clerk needs access through lds.org

#1

Post by Ncallens »

A few months ago we got a new statistical clerk. Last quarter he used mls to enter the quarterly report and got the message that it could be done through lds.org. This quarter he is attempting to enter it in lds.org but he has no clerk tools associated with his account in lds.org. We have looked at his account and it appears to be setup properly. He has access in mls.

Is there something I need to do as the Ward Clerk to ensure the assistant ward clerks have access to the clerk tools in LDS.org?

Is he in the standard calling "Ward Assistant Clerk" or "Ward Assistant Clerk--Membership" in MLS? Access on LDS.org is tied to calling, not to MLS user accounts.

He needs to be listed in a standard position in MLS. That would most likely be "assistant clerk" since "statistical clerk" is not a standard position. Custom positions are a non-starter: zero rights on-line.

However, I'm not entirely sure what rights he'd have and if it would be enough to do the quarterly report. MLS rights are completely irrelevant when it comes to right on-line.
