I can't seem to find anywhere to submit Project ideas

It's very obvious where you can sign up to contribute to existing projects, but I don't see anywhere where you can submit ideas for projects you'd like to develop for the church?

It hasn't been updated for quite a while but as far as I know this link provides accurate information: https://tech.lds.org/wiki/Introduction_ ... project.3F. In short, projects must be be initiated by a church department and lead by a church employee. If they deem it appropriate community volunteers can then assist.

However, you can share ideas that will be forwarded to the appropriate department as described on this page: https://tech.lds.org/wiki/Sharing_ideas ... h_projects

be cautious, community involvement is mostly a qa testing function at this point. Don't be overly optimistic that you have any idea what the priorities are that church employees work with, the internal politics or the translation problems to get something done in a bazillion languages.. any complications are attached to any idea... it's a big reason the silicon valley folks largely stay away at this point.

The last section on this page gives instructions for presenting ideas at the 2014 LDSTech Conference: https://tech.lds.org/wiki/LDSTech_Conference_2014

Out of curiosity, what is the idea? The reason I ask is while it may sound good, there might be significant policy or legal issues. While I'm sure technology can be improved, there are laws, privacy laws and other factors that go into why things are the way they are. By in large the church apps are being developed under the Priesthood Department and what may seem like developer limitations are actually policy decisions handed down to the developers.
