Unit Information

Post by rdent »

We have a phone number for calling for appointments for the Stake Presidency. We would like to have this phone number available via lds.org and lds tools. Is this feasible? How do we record this and configure this?

There is currently no way to do that in the online Directory or in LDS Tools. You could post an article in the Newsletter on lds.org with the information but I'm not sure if that would be as accessible as you would like.

You can also put it on the Sacrament meeting program, if you haven't already.

That's actually a good idea, to have a dedicated phone number for appointments that doesn't change when the executive secretary changes (or for people who don't know that it's the executive secretary you call for appointments). Do you have it set up to forward calls to the current executive secretary's phone?

We have it set up right now to forward to a member of the Stake Presidency because we are between executive secretaries. This is the idea. We will typically have it forwarded to the executive secretary, but if for some reason he is unavailable we will forward it to the clerk or a member of the presidency who is managing the schedule that weekend.

Thanks. I like the idea of putting it in the news letter. We would like to have it show up in lds tools under the presidency, but in the meantime this will have to do.
