WISE not synced with MLS data

I have an institute teacher who states that a CES support specialist tried looking up her address and it shows an old address of hers in WISE and not the one she is currently at and not the one that is currently in MLS. The CES support specialist told her to contact her stake clerk and have him fix the address in MLS.

So I am the stake clerk, but the address in MLS is her current address and has been for years now.

So is WISE really synced with MLS? How do I proceed to help this member?

If you look in the on-line directory, what do you see?
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

Both the on-line directory, MLS and her membership record show her correct local address. Now I can't see what the CES support specialist is seeing nor have I even seen WISE, but the specialist is claiming that her address is showing a New Jersey address. That was an old address she had.

I think I'd contact Local Unit Support. One thing I'd look at is to see if she has a duplicate membership record - you have one copy and CES is looking at the other.

She needs to inform CES that her information is correct in MLS, has been correct for some time, and that CES needs to update the WISE information to match. There may be an interface problem between WISE and MLS, and WISE may need to seek an update from the membership record information.

I had a similar issue to the original poster in that my wife was a seminary teacher and they didn't recognise her release when it was recorded on MLS. She was instructed to inform the stake clerk, which was me. It took a number of phone calls and emails from me and the CES coordinator in our area for the change to be recognised by CES as their system hadn't registered the change on MLS.
I expect they still have issues with linking the two systems.

Thank you all for your posts. It helped the CES specialist track down the problem. In this particular case, this members information was entered manually into WISE years earlier and WISE does not update manually entered records. Maybe this information will help others who experience a similar issue.

Records pulled over automatically will update automatically. If a manual entry is made, the record stops updating until it is deleted and then allowed to come over automatically again.
