Can't Access Print/Authorize Screen after entering expense

#1

Post by tommyscout8 »

LUS un-installed and then re-installed MLS on our Clerk computer this week due to a corrupted database. Everything looked good after they did that. Today, we tried to enter a Fast Offering expense and we were unable to see the Print/Authorize screen for printing the check.

Help?!

Can you give a little more detail? I take it you entered the expense(s), and then were unable to print/authorize the checks? Was it a member of the bishopric or a ward/finance clerk's MLS account logged in? We've seen that anyone without that type of calling is no longer able to authorize tithing (I can't find the forum post, but someone mentioned that in the last two weeks...), so this may be an extension of that "issue".

You might want to see what callings are in MLS for the various people. Some parts of MLS are tied to the calling, not just the MLS user rights. If MLS is confused about your calling, it could create problems.

We just encountered this very problem. For benefit of others, the solution is simple:

There was a step in the setup process that was missed. After logging in, go to System Options, then Finance, and check the box that says something about "Print Checks." That's it.
