Our wonderful sisters do an great job in keeping the visiting teaching contacts up to date. They have also been asked to complete a summary report each month for the Stake President and Stake Relief Society. The following two suggestions would benefit the sisters in completing their report and provide more accurate information.
Problem #1: The raw numbers for Total Number of Sisters, Sisters Assigned and Sisters Not Assigned do not appear on the report however the % contacted for each of these categories are included.
Problem #2: MLS does not allow the reporting of contacts for sisters who were moved into the ward in the current/previous month. Our current monthly report (July 2014) shows 9 of 15 sisters not visited for July allowing only a dashed line for the month. The report was completed on Aug 2nd. 8 of those 9 sisters were visited even when several were moved into the ward in the last week of the month. Hence the statistics report of a total of 117 contacts (of 132) when the actual report should be 125 of 132.
Suggested Enhancement #1
Add a new section between the "Statistics" and "Sisters Not Visited" sections with the following rows for each of the months in the Statistics section:
1. Sisters Assigned
2. Sisters Not Assigned
3. Total # of Sisters
Suggested Enhancement #2
Allow for the entry of visiting teaching contacts for all sisters including those who have recently moved into the ward.
These enhancements would be much appreciated, help our leaders understand the numbers behind the percentages and provide a much more accurate reporting of contacts made.

Re: Visiting Teaching Statistics report suggestion
Suggestions like this should be submitted through the service center. Realistically, these changes will not likely be made to MLS since we're trying to focus efforts on development of Leader and Clerk Resources.
The behavior where sisters are not available to be taught the month they move in is by design.

But at the same time, I believe they are not counted in the number of sisters in the ward, so it won't count against you.McLaughlinES wrote:Our current monthly report (July 2014) shows 9 of 15 sisters not visited for July allowing only a dashed line for the month.
