Surname Changes
Sister Smith married Brother Jones. But they want to change their last names to White. Not sure how to handle.

Re: Surname Changes
I'm no longer a Clerk, but when I was, I would handle this like any other legal name change. When the member provides evidence of a legal name change, I would transmit a name change through MLS (after consultation with the bishop, of course).
If they don't have legal name change documentation, I would do nothing with the request.

I don't know as showing legal documentation is required. I think that's the bishop's call. But the name on the records should match their legal name.
