Non member husbands showing in ldstools directory

in the ward directory there are number of non member husbands shown as the head of household in the lds tools directory in lds.org etc. In MLS these husbands do not show in the directory listings. As these non member husbands are now deceased - how do we stop them showing up in the online directories or ldstools directories?

The rules are different for the online directory than for MLS. By default, nonmember spouses are shown in the Directory, although there are ways to change that on a case-by-case basis.

For nonmember husbands who are not deceased, follow the instructions here.

For nonmember husbands who are deceased, you simply need to remove the nonmember spouse from the member's record.

How do you remove the deceased non member from MLS?

1. Go to the member's Individual Record (Membership > Individual Record, then select the member).
2. Go to the "Current Spouse" tab.
3. To the right of "Marriage Information" you'll see a blue "Terminate Marriage" link.
4. Click that and select "Death" as the termination reason and enter the death date (if you don't have an exact date, I imagine an approximate date is sufficient for a nonmember).
