Help!!

I love "Notes and Journal"! I've been using it as a platform for my daily devotional for the past 3 years. Unfortunately the handy Highlighter tool has stopped working )-:

Any suggestions? I'm lost and despairing without it!!

I am also having issues with not being able to unhighlight on my Mac. I am in Alma 10 and using Safari.

Can you provide more details about the tool not working? For example, do you see the study toolbar (at the bottom of your page), but it doesn't work, or is the study toolbar completely missing?

I see the study toolbar when I sign in. The problem occurred when I tried to unhighlight a scripture. I selected the text and the highlighting options appeared, however, there was no tool (at least no tool obvious to me) like a "trash" or "delete" icon that allowed me to unhighlight. I also tried reselecting the same color to see if it would toggle the color on and off. Perhaps I am just unfamiliar with how to unhighlight. What is the normal unhighlighting process?

For your issue, hover over the text. You'll see the highlighter bubble appear. Click on "Edit Note/Tag". The bubble expands to a larger bubble and the larger bubble has a trash can icon you can click on to delete your highlight.

Another option is to open your "Notes" journal (from the Tools menu, choose Notes). You can find your highlight there and delete it.

I, too, am having a problem. When I select text from a conference talk (PC, Chrome), nothing happens. I see the study mode box checked at the bottom of the screen, but no options appear to highlight, tag, etc.

I just did about 100 text selections in a general conference talk in Chrome on a PC. It worked as expected in most cases, popping up the options for selecting a highlight color or adding a tag or note. But in perhaps 20 of those 100 cases, nothing popped up. I tried to pay attention to my mouse movements to see if I was doing some quirky action in the cases where it didn't pop up, but I could discern no pattern.

But then I just did about 50 text selections in the same talk in Firefox, and it worked perfectly 100% of the time.

I have tried both Chrome and Firefox and can't get the highlighter tool to display. Then I tried Internet Explorer and it works. But IE is SOOOOO SLOOOOOOWWW on my computer! Isn't there a way to get this to work in Chrome and Firefox?

The highlighter works in all of the browsers. However, I have found that there are some add-ons and plug-ins, including some anti-virus programs, that interfere with how Notes works in some browsers. Try turning those off and see if you still have the same issue.
