MLS Error

#1

Post by bhm014 »

Hello,
I tried to restore data on MLS from a previous backup and I got the following message:
"The version of this backup is recent that the current version of MLS". Anyone can help me how to solve this issue?

I think what it's trying to say is that the backup was created with a later version of MLS then you currently have. Did you have to reinstall MLS? Or did someone use the Desktop 5.5 restore to roll back the system?

At this point you probably should be on 2.8.1

Is the computer's date/time set correctly? Perhaps it sees the backup file is "from the future".

As you can tell, I'm in guessing mode here.

The only time I have seen this message is when the date and time on the backup was newer than the current date and time. I waited a few hours and it worked fine.

This can happen if you have a version of MLS on your computer that is older than the backup that you are trying to restore. They best way to fix this is to go to the website mls.lds.org and download the latest version of MLS. This should resolve the issue.
