Meeting House Software Lip Sync Issues

#1

Post by airshowkid »

Greetings,
We have the Osprey 260 e installed in a msi motherboard, with 4 gigs of ram, with windows 7 64 bit. While broadcasting for stake conference we notice, as well as the other units, that there is a gradual audio lag causing lip sync issues during the broadcast. Our only solution was to restart the broadcast at the halfway point, which corrects the lip sync problem for about 20 minutes. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Ideally, there would be a way to sync at the broadcast end. However, if the receiving end is using VLC, the audio can be synced up with the video as needed. I think I would put my efforts on solving the problem at the originating end, however.

I think I'd start with switching to a slower stream.

I know you can't upload a stream faster than what the slowest viewer can take.
