For those of us serving away from the home ward/stake:
Is there any way to distinguish (color-wise) events that are on the Home Stake calendar from those on the BYU Stake calendar?
It appears that everything from lds.org shows as the default blue color, whether from the home stake or BYU stake.
They all show up as the same color and there is usually not enough context in the event description to determine which is which.

I'm guessing you're talking about the sync. The sync comes over as a single calendar regardless of what layer of the calendar the event originates from. I don't see any way of working around that.1rcarlson wrote:It appears that everything from lds.org shows as the default blue color, whether from the home stake or BYU stake.
If you're talking about the calendar as displayed on lds.org, each layer is assigned a different color. You can manage those colors, but it will be not be reflected in the sync link.

it must be from the "sync link", unfortunately.
That would be a nice enhancement though, no? ...to have every calendar with its own ID that gets propogated all the way through to the "sync link", thereby preserving its ability to display in its own color.

I don't know if the iCal format allows for that. So I'm not sure as that's do-able unless they create a separate sync link for each calendar.1rcarlson wrote:it must be from the "sync link", unfortunately.

In the short term, you might have better luck convincing the BYU stake that they need to better title their events. Or you could be more selective in what you subscribe to to limit the possibilities.

Something along those lines using CalDav was mentioned about 2 years ago here. The fact that it hasn't been implemented in that time is of course not very encouraging, but at least it's somewhere in the list of ideas being considered.1rcarlson wrote:it must be from the "sync link", unfortunately.
