How to close LDS Tools when a PIN is required for access.
I am a ward clerk using a new NEXTBook android. I use the PIN to access sensitive info but find no way to securely exit the app. If I go bk into the app several minutes later the previous sensitive info is still displayed. HELP

Re: How to close LDS Tools when a PIN is required for access
I'm not sure what protections LDS Tools has, but one thing you can do is shut the application down completely. There should be a key you hit to bring up a list of running applications. On my phone running 4.1.2, it's press and hold the "home" key. On my 4.2.2. tablet, it's a key that looks like two sheets of paper - one behind the other.
Scroll though the list of apps and "kick" the LDS Tools app out of the line-up.
Of course if you secure the whole unit with authentication, it shouldn't be an issue.

Re: How to close LDS Tools when a PIN is required for access
On my Android Galaxy SII phone, I find that whether or not I need the LDS Tools pin depends on how I leave the app and how long it has been since I accessed the app.
I can go directly to home, open another app, and then go back to LDS Tools without needing to enter the pin again. If I actually close the app, but then reopen it right away, I do not need the pin. If I close the app and do anything else, or leave it closed long enough that the phone display locks, I need the pin.
However it is doing it seems consistent, although I have not figured out exactly what it is I am doing necessarily that causes the need or not to enter the pin.
